Mango Bucky Blues

Hurricane Katrina violently rips a nameless mutt from his New Orleans home, runs him through a Lucky Dog Palace makeover, then plunks him down in Manatee Cove Springs where he finds Thorn Williams and becomes Mango Bucky. Thorn and his best friends Todd and Gina, are gearing up for the Hootchee Cootchee Cooter Festival, the biggest local shindig of the year, but they've also been snooping around an "all wrong" house in their neighborhood where local bad guys are getting ready for their own big event. And Mango finds Rusty Pinto, a homeless vet with no memory, who finds himself drawn to this wondrous dog. Connections are Mango Bucky's specialty. Eerily always in the right place at the right time and always on the right side, Mango Bucky brings together folks who need to find each other, teaches folks who have lessons to learn, and saves folks who need to be saved. And always makes life more fun. On the night of the Grand Cooter Parade, Mango is ready to strut in true NOLA style, but winds up in the middle of mayhem. The fun turns deadly and Mango must work big dog magic once again at sea in the dark of night.
