It Happened at Camp

It Happened At Camp is a collection of true, first-person anecdotes from the author's twenty-eight summers in YMCA camps, plus contributions from five friends. There are stories about day camps, resident camps, caravans, pack trips and backpacks. Confrontations with campers, parents, bears and other wild animals are described. The anecdotes are funny, sad, unusual, mundane, infuriating, uplifting, depressing, inspiring, frightening, and memorable. Above all, memorable. The book contains forty-eight photographs, more than a hundred stories, and a foreword by the retired President and CEO of the YMCA of the United States.
