An elderly Seminole woman leaves Ashley and Adam with these haunting words and an old pouch. So begins the Arlingtons' vacation in Florida, a trip they thought would lead them to the beach but instead guides them on an unforgettable search for treasure.
When they open the pouch a mysterious, fragile document points the way to Florida's fascinating and multicultural history. The Arlingtons learn of Ponce de León's, Osceola, and others as they search for clues to the document at the Everglades National Park and the De Soto National Memorial.
