Clara Barton spent her whole life helping people. During the Civil War, she risked her own safety to bring food and medical help to soldiers. Later she started the American Red Cross. A group that gives aid to victims of disasters and wars. Many people have called Clara Barton a hero. Clara believed her job was to be brave for others. This is her story.
