Circle of Power: Tying Down Strings of Energy

Circle of Power is the third in a series of books by Heather Hughes-Calero, known as "Winged Wolf," in which she relates her experiences as a Shaman apprentice to the Sioux medicine woman, Alana Spirit Changer. On one level, Circle of Power reads like an adventure story with a never-ending sense of excitement, but it is also so full of meaning that you may begin to sense that this book should be read and reread, for the layers of meaning are infinite, if not always apparent. This is really a book about all of us, our hopes, dreams, visions and disappointments, too.

In Circle of Power, the author bounces between Colorado and California, reality and non-ordinary reality, so rapidly that the reader is enveloped in the story. We see her abilities and understanding deepen to such an intensity that we're fascinated by the possibilities life offers if we only take the time to really see them.

This book represents a completion for the author, a coming together of all the experiences of her life, and all the teachers who have given her their love, time and wisdom to make her who she is today - a fine writer, powerful Shaman and teacher, and genuinely beautiful human being.
