Rehoboth: The New Way

Is it possible to silence God? Could a government that controls all humanity, proclaim that religious beliefs cause wars and eliminate all reference to God? If it destroyed all media, design, and structure, referencing God, forbade all religious gatherings or discussion, and declared the “omniscient” computing system CUD, the only trustworthy source of truth, would that silence God? Such a government is concerned when it learns people on a distant planet claim to communicate directly with the Holy One. It becomes alarmed when reports indicate these people live in peace and no longer acknowledge military authority. CUD chooses Jarret to lead a mission to the planet and recover vital equipment and information. Preparations for the voyage cause Ann and Jarret to be reunited. They soon realize they still love each other, but unknown forces threaten them and their mission. They find Rehoboth to be all they imagined it might be. However, events indicate they brought the seeds of its destruction with them. It becomes necessary for Jarret to climb up to the fortress and confront the “Geek in the Mountain.” There he will learn his future and even that of the galaxy has been determined by his past.
