Description

This book is primarily a genealogy of a particular branch of the Larew family from the 17th to the 20th centuries. However, a large portion of the book is devoted to the life of Garret Larew (1838-1915), who served as a private in the Union Army of the Cumberland 1862-1865; that portion of the book is based primarily on his wartime diary, large sections of which are reproduced. In addition to Larews, some allied families--Rittenhouse, Ricketts, Denny, Goff, and others--are examined. This edition is virtually identical to the original--1975--edition (long out of print) but with some corrections, a different binding, and a different cover.
