The Third Wave: Micro-globalism and the coming employment crisis in Australia

Many people are unaware that micro-globalism has created global labour hubs, with skilled workers who can perform the majority of white-collar jobs at a fraction of the price of Australian wages. The impacts of this upon Australia will be enormous. This substantial change to the very fabric of business and employment has developed in waves. The third and final wave will wipe out more than one million jobs in Australia by 2016, causing soaring unemployment and immense strain on our welfare system. Our only chance to reduce the impact in Australia is to understand how this disaster has unfolded, find new opportunities, and respond swiftly to the changing demands.
