In 1947, Dorothy Sayers delivered ''The Lost Tools of Learning'', a flagship address and catalyst of the modern classical education movement. For perhaps the first time, the trivium subjects of grammar, logic and rhetoric are applied to a student's developmental stages. Sayers also advocates the integration of subjects, and explains that training students to learn on their own is the chief goal of education. This essay, which has influenced many classical educators, is now available as an audio recording that gives you the feel of being in the Oxford hall hearing Ms. Sayers herself.
