Description

The research work mainly emphasizes the various types of stress factors which affect agricultural crops. Here the light intensity and durations, temperature, salt (NaCl) and Rose Bengal are used to produce the stress and this stress was tried to recover by giving ascorbate. Overall, data emphasized the inhibitory effect when plant is in stress condition due to imbalance of these factors. Seeing the growth inhibitory effects of different types of stress and their recovery after using ascorbate, it could be concluded that gram (a C3 Plant) was more sensitive to these stress types in comparison to maize (a C4 Plant).
