Post Cholecystectomy Syndrome

Are you planning to undergo surgery for gall stones? Just think twice! Ask your doctor whether your symptoms are really related to gall stone or is it something else? Today's cholecystectomy is the gold standard treatment for gall bladder stone, but sometimes symptoms of this disease may persist or some new symptoms may appear even after operation. This becomes much more troublsome to the patient. Persistant of symptoms may be due to another unrelated disease which may be missed during diagnosis. New symptoms may be related to some other organ or may be a complication of the procedure. This is a retrospective clinical study to analyse these symptoms, their cause, diagnosis and treatment of this most troublesome syndrome called post cholecystectomy syndrome.
