Description

A detailed report on two of the sites discovered by the Belgian Archaeological Mission in the Aivan plain, Iran (1965-1979). Although many of the graves uncovered were looted and badly damaged, a small number remained intact. Each cemetery is described separately, with drawings of the tombs and their contents: pottery, metal and miscellaneous objects. Alas, no summary and very little interpretation of the wider context of the discoveries.
