Specialized Training for Chemical Tankers (Model Course 1.04)

Masters, officers and others on board chemical tankers who have immediate responsibilities for the loading, discharging and care in transit or handling of cargo will fulfil the mandatory minimum requirements of regulation V/1 of STCW 1978, as amended in 1995, by successfully completing this course. In addition to the coverage of chemical tanker safety, fire safety measures and systems, prevention and control of pollution, operational practice and obligations under applicable laws and regulations, the course covers all training necessary to apply the provisions of Annex II of MARPOL 73/78.
