From the supplier: Limited liability companies (LLC) offer many economic advantages for single state corporations and may become beneficial to multi-state businesses as federal laws are drafted. Advantages recognized by LLCs include lessened liability, reduced insurance costs and freedom of movement. LLCs must have more non-corporate than corporate characteristics to be recognized for federal tax purposes. LLCs are not court-tested entities and the lack of federal guidance on their recognition results in some disadvantages.
