Museum Of Art: Masterpieces

The world of the curator and art restoration expert come to life with this hands-on kit that explores the entire art museum. The cover window contains a miniature canvas masterpiece in need of restoration. Inside the kit are a brush, tube of paint, cotton pad, and double-ended sponge applicator -- the restorer's tools -- plus a decorative "gilt" frame in which to hang the painting. Other pieces include an album containing 32 artists' biographies, with stickers of the artists and miniature reproductions of famous works, the Alberti's grid, and five sheets of drawing paper to help illustrate principles of composition and proportion when viewed with acetate overlays (also included). Then it's time to label each picture with its identification tag and hang them all in the beautifully detailed model of a gallery room.
