Summary
Come along for a heart-warming story about John McKinley, a newspaper reporter, who at his editors request, enters a nursing home for a week. This is the second year in a row that John has been assigned the task of gathering a year-end down-to-earth story. Last year 1998, he disguised himself as a homeless person and lived on the streets of Eugene, Oregon for a week. John’s editor was extremely happy with the way the story turned out and decided to have John do a similar one this year.
Arrangements are made with a local nursing home and, after saying goodbye to his family; John enters the nursing home and begins his adventure. It’s an adventure that turns out much differently than he, his editor, or his family could ever imagine.
