The richness of the life of Gregory I, connecting History and Civilization with the Rise of Christianity immediately after the Tsunamis of the invasions had decayed and bring forth the seed of the new euroopean nations, makes of the life of Gregory a complex picture. To overcome this obstacle I have had recourse to two historians, completing the panorama of Gregory'sTimes and Life from the unification of their work in one single masterpiece. As no single historian can comprehend the entire essence of the subject he dedicates his work, I thought it best to choose between the many works the two most reliable works upon the Life and Times of Pope Gregory I the Great. Dudden and Barmby, the first dying in 1955 and the second in 1897, beyond the years come to demomnstrate that no matter the ages the work of a Great Man lives forever, overcome the criticism of ther late centuries and stand firm like a rock to make good that "Time makes the Life, and Life makes the Time".
