Description

Book II in this series covers the history of Europe from the time of Julius Caesar (60 BCE) to Elizabeth I of England (1600 CE). It describes the known history of the Parisi/Parisii tribes on the Humber and on the Seine and how they were connected. The connections of the Parisi to other Celtic tribes (particularly the Iceni and Brigante) are discussed. Following the implosion of Rome (410 CE), the Romanized P-R-S families moved to Breton (Normandy) and managed their estates from afar with the aid of kinsmen and Angles tenants in Britain. The influx of Angles and Saxons turned Paris families into Parkin and Perkin. Then the influx of Danes turned the Parkins into Parkinsons and Paris into Parsons and Pearsons. Meanwhile, the Parisi in Breton became Percy and Parry. These P-R-S nobles followed William to England in 1066 and recovered their estates in Northumberland. P-R-S family members participated in major battles in the Hundred Years War. The Percies became involved in the War of the Roses, which gave way to the Tudor kings.

This book lays the frame work for some of the important social issues that led to the colonization of North America. A significant amount of attention is allotted to the origin and evolution of Christianity and the Papacy. Religious unrest and persecution in Europe was one of the primary drivers of North American colonization, which is the main topic of Book III in this series.

Book III will begin with the voyages of exploration and discovery as they affected North America and will introduce the Native Americans who play a large role in the P-R-S family. It bridges from Europe to North America mainly from the European view point. Book VI will pick up a few branches of the P-R-S family in historical records dating from the early 1700s and finds them at the core of formation of several British Colonies. They cross paths with Washington, Jefferson, Cherokee Chiefs and other notables before the American War of Independence. Book V is devoted primarily to the War of Independence and Book VI will bring a specific branch of the P-R-S family through the War Between the States and into the 20th Century.
