Push Start 1984

Two teenage boys travel around Australia in a 1959 Volkswagen Kombi van in 1984. In a time before mobile phones or the internet they travel up the east coast of Australia before turning inland. With no mechanical knowledge and very little money they end up Push Starting the van with flat batteries and a severe oil leak every 60 kilometres over 2000 kilometres from Cairns to Alice Springs. This is a true story as taken from Alan's Diary of this epic journey.
