Padre Pio: On Freedom

Padre Pio: Freedom is a Christian Meditation Book For Kindle. Thru his whole vocation his love for the Eucharistic Lord was an integral part of personal love for Jesus Christ, not only as a Priest but moreover as a Victim of love like Jesus. In a letter to one of his spiritual directors, Padre Agostino, he says quite clearly:

'Oh, what a wonderful thing it is to become a victim of divine love!' [Letters, I,

This short phrase sums up his whole life of suffering; for fifty years he bore the wounds of Christ. This intense love for Jesus was a gift of the Holy Spirit that worked intimately in his soul, for the perfection of his soul and for oth­ers. He understood clearly his role in the Church, as a victim chosen by God to intercede for others, both in his life on earth and later in eternity.
