Ghost Gold

For reasons that are so many, in our book, we have chosen to tell the story of a married couple whom we call, ‘Denny and Diana James.’ It’s a story about their struggles in life; about their struggles in marriage; about their hope for the future; and, a story based on some actual events in their lives, especially those events surrounding Denny’s one and only passion and hobby, the hunt for Civil War gold. To us, theirs is a true love story of two average American people who fell in love again, and became heroes to each other.
This is also a story of a wonderful area of the South, and of good and decent people, then and now. It’s a story of American History, and of industrial change. It’s a tale of ghosts and of superstitions; and, of strange occurrences involving physics, and the earth sciences.
It’s a story of one man’s powerful intuition, and of his relentless research, and of the intensity and intoxication of obsessive treasure hunting on a haunting mountain. It’s a story about not giving up.
