Winds of the Day

Orphaned at the age of twelve, Alice Openshaw is forced to work as a servant in a class-ridden society. However, her harsh experiences only serve to fire her indomitable spirit. Winds of the Day spans both World Wars and traces Alice's moves between Manchester, Cardiff and London.
