This report discloses the findings and recommendations of the HAS review which sets out to evaluate the prevailing state of mental health services for people with three particular disorders: acquired brain injury; early onset dementia; and Huntingdon's disease. Although there are relatively low numbers of people suffering from these disorders in a given population, they have a major impact on health and social services, voluntary organizations and carers within families. These organizations were reviewed to help generate a picture of the current service shortcomings and strengths which would reasonably represent the picture at national level.
