Code of Safe Working Practices for Merchant Seamen: Consolidated 2011 Edition

This 'Code of Safe Working Practices for Merchant Seamen' provides guidance on improving health and safety on board vessels and articulates how statutory obligations should be fulfilled. It is intended primarily for Merchant Seamen on United Kingdom registered vessels. This 2011 edition consolidates the code up to Amendment 10, bringing the code up-to-date. It is a statutory requirement for copies of the current edition of the Code to be carried on board all UK ships other than fishing vessels and pleasure craft.
