New features of the edition include: real world applications; integrated coverage on productivity software in the chapter material; greater coverage of design techniques, prototyping and automated applications development. It also includes DOS, WordPerfect, Lotus 1-2-3 and TWIN and dBASE III tutorials in the appendices, adds a new chapter on the MIS and decision support systems, presents concepts within the context of computer applications, and covers various topics including connectivity, magneto-optical disk, expert systems, electronic data interchange, CASE and SQL.
