The advent of image processing and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) has made a substantial impact in the fields of geology, geochemistry, geophysics, and remote sensing. Addressing this development, this work provides a state-of-the-art overview of techniques for analyzing and combining geoscience data sets for mineral exploration.
