This book is intended to provide the undergraduate engineering student with a knowledge and understanding of the basic fundamentals of compressive flow and gas dynamics. The material covered should serve to "bridge the gap", in mechanical. aerospace and, possibly, civil engineering curricula, between sophomore or junior level courses in thermodynamics and fluid mechanics and advanced courses in propulsion, turbo-machinery, energy conversion or advanced aerodynamics.
