Communication in Society

Communication in Society explores communication in a larger, social context. Alberts, Martin and Nakayama developed a skills-based framework, to give the reader what they need to communicate effectively as individuals and as members of society.

With a combined seventy years of communication studies experience, the authors provide the reader with a deeper understanding of communication theories and skills along with guidance on applying these skills across various settings with a primary focus on interpersonal and small group communication, as well as public speaking.
