Apple Blossom Cologne Company: Audit Case

The Fourth Edition of this very successful audit case incorporates both the systems or "cycle" approach to auditing and the risk approach using the audit risk model. The case has been designed to illustrate the relationship between the assessment of inherent and control risk and the determination of detection risk, as well as the impact on the auditor's evidence-gathering activities. Students will learn to design and prepare the current year's working papers and assemble the completed case. Total completion time is approximately 30 hours. In 40 hours, students will be able to complete the optional exercises as well.
