Vehicles: A Program Based on the Book (Bradford Books)

This software and accompanying illustrated manual will allow the user to run three prototypes from the book Vehicles: Experiments in Synthetic Psychology, by Valentino Braitenberg. The programs are Love and Hate, Growth and Decay, and Rabbit Run. The software can be run on a Macintosh TM computer with 512K or more memory.

For further information, users will want to consult appropriate chapters in Braitenberg's book of imaginative thought experiments or "vehicles," a series of hypothetical, self-operating machines that exhibit increasingly intricate if not always successful or civilized "behavior." In a section of extensive biological notes, Braitenberg locates many elements of his fantasy in current brain research.
