Political pundit and two-time Republican presidential candidate Pat Buchanan is best known for his sharp-edged cultural conservatism. The Great Betrayal, however, is an economic manifesto that promotes what Buchanan calls "economic nationalism." Buchanan believes that free trade serves the interests of Wall Street, not Main Street.
