The Concert of Europe: International Relations, 1814-70 (Access to History)

A study of the approach of the "Concert of Europe" to international problems in the 19th century from the Congress of Vienna to the Treaty of Paris, for sixth form and first year undergraduate students of history. Taking the rise and decline of the Concert of Europe as its main theme, this book explores the workings of this novel approach to international tensions and the personalities who participated, from the Congress of Vienna through the revolutions of 1830 and 1848 to the treaty of Paris in 1856 and the subsequent decline of the Concert.
