A conflict between Scottish clans of the 16th century. Alastair MacGregor of Glen Strae is challenged for the vestiges of his clan's once vast lairdships by Black Duncan of the Cowl, Campbell of Glenorchy, a dangerous foe who has the ear of King James the Sixth.
