This book is a great value - it packs a lot of solid, easy to understand information in only 128 pages. There are sections explaining perennial garden design (including color schemes), plant selection and care and flower color by season. The encyclopedia shows full color pictures of each entry, a listing of bloom colors, the scientific and common names and water and sun needs. There's also a listing for resources and an index by subject or plant name. A good book for the beginner/intermediate gardener.
