Medical Microbiology

This volume is organized to reflect current changes in teaching practice, emphasizing the conflict between man and microbe. Sections describe first the adversaries (the microbes and parasites versus the immune system), the conflicts (from adherance and entry to the uneasy truce between host and parasite), the consequences of the conflicts (the clinical manifestations of the conflict), and strategies for control at individual, hospital and community level.
