The seventh edition of this textbook continues to present the basic principles of the mechanics of fluids with emphasis on a sound physical understanding of fluid flow and of its engineering techniques. It contains the material needed for an honours degree course in civil or mechanical engineering as well as relevant additional material found on undergraduate courses in aeronatical and chemical engineering. This edition has been fully revised and updated, has new examples and end-of-chapter problems and answers. The layout has been improved for a more modern feel. For lecturers, a solutions manual is available to accompany this text.
