Surfactants and Other Additives in Agricultural Formulations

Surfactants are the most important class of chemical additives used in the formulation of agricultural products. It is estimated that a total of 180,000 metric tons of surfactants were used in agricultural formulations in 1998, with a total value of about $320 million. This 182-page report evaluates current trends in the use of agricultural surfactants and other additives worldwide, assesses future developments due to environmental considerations and governmental regulations, and forecasts the consumption of these products into the new millennium, identifying opportunities for new types of formulations.
