Design-Expert? software helps students set up and analyzetwo-level factorial, general factorial, fractional factorial,Plackett-Burman, and combined mixture/process designs, as well as response surface methods (RSM) analysis for up to 10 process factors or 24 mixture components. It offers powerful evaluation capability for generations of various statistical measures on the design matrix. The analysis includes standard ANOVA as well as various diagnostic plots on the residuals. The regression engine handles up to a full cubic polynomial model with forward, backward or stepwise algorithms. The program generates 2D contour plots and rotatable 3D graphs. The program's numerical optimization function finds the most desirable factor settings for up to 12 responses simultaneously. Unique tools for generating and graphing propagation of error (POE) make it possible to reach goals for reducing variation. The Educational Version includes all of the features present in the commercial version in a time-limited format that lasts 180 days from installation.
