Reliability data for pumps and drivers, valve actuators and valves

Because a large segment of industrial users has expressed interest in the reliability data on pumps, valves, and related equipment, it has been decided to extract this valuable data from the complete IEEE Std 500-1984 and make it available as a separate volume. IEEE Std 500-1984 represents the most comprehensive and up-to- date collection of reliability data in the world today. Data have been culled from the broad, ever widening sphere of disciplines where current reliability technology has been applied to the solution of problems. Although the data contained in the Nuclear Reliability Data Manual provide needed information for reliability analysts working on problems related to nuclear plants, the document is applicable to all segments of the power industry. Numerous other large industries such as steel-making, chemical production, marine transportation, and refining will find the manual an invaluable source of reliability information. The reliability data presented includes failure rate ranges, failure modes, and environmental factor information on generic components actually or potentially in use in nuclear power generating stations.
