The workbook portion of the SAM includes the Pratica del vocabolario e della struttura section, to be completed after studying the corresponding text material, which provides reinforcement practice of the lesson vocabulary and grammar topics individually. The Pratica della comunicazione section, completed at the end of each text lesson, contains open-ended and communicative exercises to integrate the lesson material. The lab manual portion is designed for use with the SAM Audio Program. Written and oral exercises reinforce lesson structures and vocabulary and provide additional pronunciation practice. Also included are the dialogues from the text and numerous activities based on conversations, recorded messages and announcements, and descriptions to help students develop listening comprehension skills.
