Compartmentation of Plant Metabolism in Non-Photosynthetic Tissues (Society for Experimental Biology Seminar Series)

This book examines the organization of metabolism in such organs and the development of cellular compartments for the production of various compounds. Leading researchers in the field cover aspects of organelle biogenesis and breakdown; carbohydrate, lipid, and nitrogen metabolism; solute/ion transport in organelles, such as lipid bodies, plastids, vacuoles, mitochondria, and protein bodies and in tissues, such as seeds, roots, and meristematic cells.
