Exploring Parasite Genomes (Parasitology)

Information on parasite genomes will be fundamental to the future directions of parasitology research. Complete parasite gene sequence data, currently available for some pathogenic bacteria, will provide essential biological information and clues to novel drug and vaccine targets. The papers in this volume summarize the current state of various parasite genome projects and the bioinformatics of parasite genome analysis. This book covers such topics as pathogenic bacteria, yeasts, trypanosomes and apicomplexan parasites, schistosomes, and nematode pathogens of both humans and plants.
