Boundary Value Problems and Partial Differential Equations (Prindle, Weber & Schmidt Series in Mathematics)

This text is geared towards engineers as it includes a wealt of examples, many with applications, that will appeal to engineers, such as traffic flow. The book has an informal modelling approach and uses proofs when appropriate. It is not part of the advanced series and falls at the lower end of the marketplace. The text contains detailed discussions of Bessel functions and Legendre polynomials which are often missing from recent texts.
