The Shield of Shambala

Set in the sacred valley of Shambala, the rich culture and myths of Tibetan Buddhism are brought to life in this tale of an epic battle for spiritual freedom which traverses the Buddhist realms of existence. Torn from his life as an Asian art historian in San Francisco, Gesar Despa awakes in the realm of Asura on the eve of a war between the defenders of Shambala and its rebel god-demons. There, he meets the beautiful dakini captain, Ane, whose comatose body is hunted in the Human realm by a demonic assasin. Caught between realms, Gesar struggles to save Ane and Shambala with the aid of his doctor and a group of mysterious Buddhist monks.
