On Saturday evening, Nov. 17, 1974, Viola Nash Robinson returned home to her five young sons after a typical day of fishing and socializing with family friends in Lake Charles, Louisiana. After listening patiently as her boys spun excited tales of their afternoon adventures, Robinson and her boyfriend retired to her bedroom for a nap. It was a Saturday night like any other until her boys were left to face a reality that would forever change their lives. A short while later, Robinson's boyfriend, who'd become a father figure to the boys, came running from the room urging the boys to check on their mother. What they saw when they entered the room was unspeakable.
