The Plea

Crayfish was a young girl whose parents were very rich. They posessed a piece in every business in the community where they lived: hotels, restaurants, buildings and condominium. Because of her wealth, she was not interested in school to have a solid education. She was naturally successful. She wandered from cities to towns, spending money with friends and listening to flatterings for her fortune and beauty. Meanwhile, next to one of her parent's place of business, lived a young man. His name was Scorpion. He was poor but very intelligent. He loved school. He studied to become a Public Notary and then went to Law School. After his graduation, he worked for the government as a District attorney. He cumuled both functions despite their incompatibility according to the law and the constitution of the land. Crayfish's parents grew very old. They needed a Public Notary to prepare their last will. The news have come to Scorpion's attention. He applied for the job and got it without difficulty because of his public relations. He knew that Crayfish was not interested in anything that was in writing. So he put his name next to hers to be one of the beneficiaries... Both Crayfish's mother and father died one after another during a very short period of time, leaving her in the middle of a huge fortune that she could not control. Scorpion went again to Crayfish, the miserable and innocent young woman to offer his assistance as a consultant. He was welcome. They worked together and made more and more money. Scorpion wanted to incorporate and expand the business abroad; so he encouraged Crayfish to go overseas to represent their company alone during an international convention. When she was gone, Scorpion went before the government to accuse Crayfish of being a political activist who wanted to overthrow the government by a coup d'Etat. So she would be exiled. Crayfish remained in exile for several years until she found a foreign lover, Mackerel, who helped her to come back after using her as a part time concubine. The sacrifice she made was very compromising for her pride and dignity, but politics and love are a "give and take" business.- Crayfish come back from exile, but to be arrested and jailed for three years before she was brought before a judge for crime of high treason according to Scorpion, the District attorney.
