One Such Child: A gay child's journey through Christianity

"Whoever receives one such child in my name receives me." Matthew 18:5 I grew up in an Independent, Fundamental, Baptist, Bible-believing church. I attended Christian schools my entire life, from kindergarten all the way through college. I’ve sung in the church choir, been a Christian school teacher and taught Sunday school. I’ve gone to Christian summer camps. I’ve gone on missions trips. I've studied the Bible through and through and loved God with all my heart and soul. From the beginning, one thing has remained a constant, unchangeable reality. I’m gay. This is the story of my journey as a gay kid growing up in the Christian community. I hope that it will be a help to gay young people and their Christian families who are struggling to understand each other.
