This book is not about combat and war. Nor is it about crime and punishment. Rather, this is a collection of short stories about people; Navy people for the most part, but others too. Mainly, they were people with whom the writer came in contact while providing physical security, law enforcement, antiterrorism, emergency management, and some principal protective services in and for the United States Navy. This is dedicated to the U.S. Navy’s Master-at-Arms, Physical Security Technicians (Warrant Officers), Physical Security Officers, Marines, and Navy civilian security personnel, whose mission it is to protect military and civilian personnel and the material resources used to safeguard our nation and our national interests both in the United States and abroad. Their stories remain largely untold.
