Core Convictions: Reformation Solas Doctrines of Grace Word & Sacrament

What makes the Christian message ‘good news’? What sets Christianity apart from all other religious systems and makes it so radically different? Why does the gospel offend some and thrill others? The answers to these questions will be found when we acquire an understanding of the theological convictions that came out of the Protestant Reformation. There are three sets of understandings that form the core of these convictions – the ‘Reformation Solas’, the ‘Doctrines of Grace’ and the ministry of ‘Word & Sacrament.’ Without these understandings well in hand we will never fully appreciate the transformative nature of the Reformation movement.
