Sounds of Burned Silence

I was left to gather the shards of my so called perfect life after what was supposed to be a routine doctor’s visit. Never have I felt so naked and numb losing everything but my mind. We happened, it happened, the worst happened. That bastard! Nothing’s perfect, but I didn’t learn that until reality invaded my heart and soul. Life must work for you, not anyone else. Not even your first love. Being wrapped up in everyone else’s stuff caused me to forget about me… I discovered my voice was my only means of defense because my fists were never round enough to combat the archaic mentality of the world. I found the courage to stand up for myself, letting go of past hurts, past hatred, past animosity, and past limitations, burning the silence I let dwell inside for far too long.
